Stevie Trim (BSc Hons) is the Managing Director of Siller Consultancy Ltd.
Stevie is a former Detective Chief Inspector in Police Scotland, the UK's second largest police force, retiring at the end of 2025 with over 26 years in policing.
Stevie worked as a detective for over 22 years investigating serious crime including murder, sexual crime and violence and was part of Strathclyde Police's Serious Crime Squad and Major Crime Terrorism Investigation Unit. He subsequently spent many years working within organised crime and counter terrorism for the Police Service of Scotland in both overt and covert roles focused on international, UK and Scottish drug and money laundering operations.
As Area Commander for the investigation of serious and organised economic crime across Scotland, Stevie held responsibility as Senior Investigating Officer for a wide range of complex and sensitive financial investigations. These include leading Scottish investigations such as Operation Branchform and other high-profile cases involving political parties and politically exposed persons, international money laundering, complex fraud, embezzlement, and financial corruption within public and private sector business.
Stevie has regularly provided economic crime awareness training across public and private business sectors and has represented the United Kingdom as a steering group member for international law enforcement networks. He oversaw Scotland's international evaluation by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) focusing on standard setting for combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and protecting global financial systems.
Stevie offers a real-life perspective based on two decades of hands-on experience in the field of serious crime and economic crime investigation, is an accredited Enhanced Financial Investigator and accredited expert witness by the National Crime Agency. He is widely regarded as the most experienced financial investigator in Scotland, is known for his practical approach and strives to cut through the complexities associated with financial crime and provide the client with independent straight forward and understandable advice guidance and opinion.
